Payment Processing Disclosure

1.1 ChaiLink is the merchant of record for Contributions processed through the Platform. Supporters contract with ChaiLink for payment processing; ChaiLink credits the designated Creator's Vault after deducting applicable fees.

1.2 Individual Creators are not separate PayFast merchants. Creators receive payouts from ChaiLink subject to KYC, AML review, and our Terms of Service. ChaiLink performs onboarding due diligence on Creators before enabling live payment collection.

1.3 ChaiLink operates as a platform/aggregator enabling Creators to receive digital patronage through a single regulated payment integration.

2.1 PayFast (APPS): State Bank of Pakistan PSO/PSP-licensed payment gateway for card payments, bank account debits, mobile wallets, and Raast P2M where integrated. PCI-DSS certified with fraud monitoring (Guardian).

2.2 Easypaisa (Telenor Microfinance Bank): SBP-licensed EMI for mobile wallet collections.

2.3 JazzCash (Mobilink Microfinance Bank): SBP-licensed EMI for mobile wallet collections.

2.4 Raast: Pakistan Instant Payment System operated under SBP for real-time transfers.

2.5 Integration partners (e.g., Safepay, Xpay) may be used as technical layers routing to licensed rails; card data is tokenized on PCI-compliant hosted pages.

3.1 All supporter-facing amounts are displayed and charged in Pakistani Rupees (PKR).

3.2 Platform Fee: five percent (5%) of gross Contribution value, deducted before Vault credit unless otherwise shown at checkout.

3.3 No signup fee or monthly subscription for Creators.

3.4 Payment Partner Merchant Discount Rates (MDR) apply to underlying rails and are borne within ChaiLink's fee structure or as disclosed at checkout. Indicative PayFast MDR (exclusive of tax): local cards ~2.95%, wallets ~2.20%, Raast QR ~0.60% — subject to merchant agreement.

3.5 International card transactions may incur higher MDR (~3.50%) per payment partner schedules.

4.1 PayFast standard settlement to ChaiLink: T+2 to T+4 business days depending on payment instrument (wallet T+3, card T+4 per APPS merchant terms).

4.2 Creator Payouts from Vault: requested via dashboard; processed within twenty-four (24) to forty-eight (48) business hours after AML clearance, minimum threshold Rs. 1,000.

4.3 Settlement excludes Saturdays, Sundays, and Pakistan bank holidays.

5.1 TLS 1.2+ for data in transit; card data handled only on PCI-DSS compliant hosted pages.

5.2 3-D Secure (OTP) enforced for card-not-present transactions where required.

5.3 ChaiLink maintains fraud monitoring, velocity checks, and cooperation with PayFast Guardian and partner fraud networks.

5.4 Security incidents are reported to payment partners per merchant agreement requirements.

6.1 ChaiLink retains transaction records for minimum seven (7) years (AML) and makes records available to PayFast/APPS and SBP upon lawful request.

6.2 Creators and Supporters can reference transaction IDs from confirmation emails and dashboard history.
