Return & Cancellation Policy
ChaiLink is a digital creator-support platform. We do not sell or ship physical goods. This Return & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations work before payment completion, what applies to digital voluntary support, and how this policy satisfies merchant website requirements for payment gateway partners including PayFast (APPS).

1. Digital Service — No Physical Returns
1.1 ChaiLink does not operate an e-commerce store with physical inventory. There are no physical goods to return, exchange, or ship.
1.2 Supporters send voluntary financial support to Creators through a digital checkout. Once payment is authorized and settled, the transaction is treated as a completed digital service delivery (transfer of support to the named Creator's Vault).
2. Cancellation Before Payment
2.1 You may cancel at any time before confirming payment on the checkout screen — close the browser, navigate away, or press back. No charge will be applied.
2.2 If you are redirected to a Payment Partner hosted page (PayFast, wallet, or bank OTP screen), you may abandon the flow before entering credentials or confirming OTP. Incomplete sessions are not charged.
2.3 Payment sessions expire per Payment Partner timeout rules (typically fifteen (15) to thirty (30) minutes).
3. After Payment Completion
3.1 Completed Contributions cannot be "returned" in the traditional sense because funds have been allocated to the Creator's Vault ledger.
3.2 Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy for duplicate charges, unauthorized transactions, fraud, platform errors, or undelivered Creator promises.
3.3 To request post-payment reversal, contact support@chailink.co within fourteen (14) days.
4. Creator Account Cancellation
4.1 Creators may close their account via dashboard settings or by contacting support@chailink.co.
4.2 Pending Vault balances are subject to Payout processing and AML verification before transfer to the Creator's registered payout destination.
4.3 Account closure does not retroactively cancel past Contributions.
5. Recurring or Scheduled Payments
5.1 ChaiLink does not currently offer recurring billing. Each Contribution is a one-time authorization.
5.2 If recurring features are introduced, Creators and Supporters will receive advance notice with separate cancellation instructions.
